Email is one area where I don’t feel so bad letting AI replace my brain. I don’t use superhuman yet (my husband does bc his work pays for it), but I do find myself increasingly drafting very barebones emails and asking AI to do the rest. My inbox is still kind of out of control with junk that I don’t even open let alone read, but for the emails I do want to respond to in a fairly straight forward way I’m finding chatgpt to be a useful writing buddy.
Yes! Chat is such a useful writing buddy for emails. And I think it's still a better email-writing partner than the AI writing assist built into Superhuman.
Thank you for this. Email is the bane of my existence and the most unreliable form of communication. Yet, it can be the most effective way to represent myself, too. It's contemptible how it's been weaponized; it is a CYA tool and a legal document. Superhuman sounds like an excellent tool for those without an administrative assistant. But, mostly, I love the way you tasked your executive assistant with emailing, relinquishing the power, and placing your trust in a person. I would spend hours at night at least once a week catching up on emails, and it was laborious, stress-inducing, and overwhelming. Furthermore, it was a terrible use of my expertise, and it was shameful that an institution felt it was a valuable use of my time to pay me to send emails for several hours every day. Companies need to rethink this tool, workflow, and well-being.
I have heard some organizations have groups that share one email account on a "duty" schedule, so that whoever is on duty is responsible for replying and everyone else can be off duty for email at that time. Would love to try that!
I do like to pride myself on being one of those people who responds to all emails within the "24-hour rule" and someone who gives personal attention to each one. However, who knew you could do both in a more efficient way? Thanks for the tip on Superhuman, and looking forward to reading your next helpful hack!

Interesting! I also like this topic! More resources to make life easier, please! I'm excited to explore Superhuman!
Got it! Have been playing with the balance of practical vs meditative posts. I hear you on your request for the practical/tactical!
